Thanks for the report! I've fixed these problems in the PO files, which are translated by the translation project (TP) as part of the util-linux-ng pckage. This file is very large, with several thousand lines of very technical strings, and many of them are poorly translated.

I've mailed the original translator to suggest him the fix, as well as many other improvements of the 'mount' strings, I'm waiting for his reply.

Bruno: do you think we should fix the wrong strings manually in Launchpad, or wait for the TP to accept the changes, and upload their PO file by hand then? Will the latter be enough to avoid blocking upstream changes from entering Launchpad next time?

Hi Milan,

The changes made in Launchpad will be overwritten by the next upstream sync. But it would be better to fix the whole template upstream. A message about this has been posted on the traduc.org mailing list and Nicolas said that he's not in charge of utils-linux-ng translation, he's only a contributor. So if there's a volunteer to review this template with the TP, I guess he/she would be welcome (AFAIK FSF copyright disclaimer is not required fot this template).

OK, so there was no point in mailing Nicolas.

I have fixed the two strings in the PO file, and many other strings that
made my eyes cry. So if somebody is OK to review the attached diff, I
can submit them to the TP since I'm also working on translations there.

Regards

Hi milan,
Did you submit this patch upstream (TP)?
In order to have those bugs fixed in Ubuntu I've uploaded yor .po file to Launchpas as an upstream (imported) translation.

Bruno: I've just uploaded my fixes to the TP, since nobody has shown interest in this package. But that's an updated PO for the new upstream version 2.18-rc2. I hope uploading my attached PO file as being upstream won't create conflict (I can't remember what's the exact behavior of this option, but you know better than I do).
