Bug Description

When enabling Alt-Tab for all viewports (instead of only Alt-Tabbing on the current one), if you select a window that is currently on a different viewport, that viewport will not be automatically switched to.

This also occurs when using the Launcher to select apps in a different viewport.

Hi,

the bug also occours on my installation (compiz 0.9.10.2 + ubuntu 13.10), after I played with Ubuntu Tweak, Unity Tweak, or after I run this command 'dconf reset -f /org/compiz/', I don't know. Now I could not restore the correct behavior.

Maybe this could help you ro resolve this very annoying issue, thank you.

Hi,

I have the same issue with Ubuntu 14.10. Something went wrong and I lost my Unity launcher and panel. I tried to restore them using 'dconf reset -f /org/compiz/' (read that somewhere) but that did not help. It turned out my Unity plugin was simply set to inactive so activating it via CCSM brought Unity back on my desktop.

But now I have the same problem (the scale plugin is also affected since it will also not switch the active viewport) and I can not restore the correct behaviour. The launcher is my main viewport switcher but now I have to switch viewport manually which is a real pain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found the cause of the problem: besides my Unity plugin the Desktop Wall plugin had been disabled as well. Enabling it via CCSM (and ignoring some complaints about conflicting plugin settings involving something like Flip up/down or so) resolved the issue.
