Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
It is possible to focus Unity itself through bug #728787. (Open launcher right click menu and close that menu while the pointer is over the top panel or the launcher). When this happens, nothing is drawn in the top panel but the global menu still has its default File›Close menu, which you can find by clicking in the usual place.
With bug #728787, this is actually not far fetched. One can easily focus Unity by opening a launcher menu while using a fullscreen application and then closing that menu with a click on the top panel, perhaps to access the File menu in the current fullscreened application. With the first click, the focus will change to Unity. A second click in the same place will open the default File menu, containing only Close. Pressing Close could easily make sense, but doing so will bring down the entire window manager.
There are probably more ways to do this, so ideally it just shouldn't be possible to focus and close Unity.
