Some of your problems might have been caused by bug #930398. That bug appeared on version 2.99.3, so we rolled back to version 2.0.3 while working on a fix. So, if you got the 2.99.3 installer, you might want to give a try to the 2.0.3 in the meantime. https://one.ubuntu.com/downloads/windows/install/

This will be fixed in the next release, that will be published as soon as we finish with the rush for the Ubuntu version. We are really sorry about this and the problems that it might have caused you.
