I am having the exact same problem as in this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/270643 and maybe related to this one https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/296610 . Since the other first one is marked closed I am reopening this one. The touchpad is still not recognized by X.org :
cat /proc/bus/input/devices give me these:
I: Bus=0017 Vendor=0001 Product=0001 Version=0100 N: Name="Macintosh mouse button emulation" P: Phys= S: Sysfs=/devices/virtual/input/input0 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=mouse0 event0 B: EV=7 B: KEY=70000 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 B: REL=3
I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=0001 Version=0000 N: Name="PS/2 Generic Mouse" P: Phys=isa0060/serio1/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input/input12 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=mouse1 event9 B: EV=7 B: KEY=70000 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 B: REL=3
I am running Intrepid, all updates and upgrades done, kernel 2.6.27-11-generic (2.6.27-11.27) The touchpad is terribly slow, and I can't adjust the sensitivity since it's not recognized.
Please fix it. Thanks.
