1) lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu Natty (development branch)
Release: 11.04
2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-impress

Installed: 1:3.3.1-1ubuntu5
Candidate: 1:3.3.1-1ubuntu5

3) What is expected is when one performs at the Terminal:
cd ~/Desktop && wget https:/
File -> Save as -> File type: Microsoft PowerPoint 97/2000/XP (.ppt) -> Save button -> Keep Current Format button
Close the file then open the .ppt file just created at the Terminal:
loimpress -nologo example\ file.ppt
the text is exactly as it was in the .odp format.
4) What happens instead is in the .ppt file the text at the bottom got bigger and moved to the left.
Reporter comments: The master slide footer font is Times New Roman 24pt, in a file opened that previously had Arial 16pt configured. Modifying font style/size of footer on master slide works until file is closed. When reopened, footer font is reset to Times New Roman 24pt. (I believe Impress3.

Possible .ppt file problem only - if .ppt file is opened and modified and saved as .odp, all seems to be OK.
