Bug Description

The kxkb configuration window doesn't list the available keyboard layouts.

This bug was reported for the unoffial KDE 3.5.1 Breezy packages on kubuntuforums.net ( http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3102.msg12587#msg12587 = and confirmed for Dapper.

Making a symlink of /etc/X11/xkb into /usr/share/X11/xkb fixes this bug.

This patch fixes the bug by redefining the variable in kdebase-3.5.1/kxkb/rules.cpp, replacing /usr/share/X11 with /etc/X11.

It has been tested in Dapper and works :)

Today I fixed this issue with the earlier explained symlink on my Edgy machine. Kxkb seems at the moment in the stable release at version 3.5.2. Its quiet confusing for me, why this bug isn't solved in Edgy.
