Bug Description
After upgrading from Gutsy to Hardy, reading DVD isn't possible anymore. Writing using K3B (1.0.4/KDE 3.5.9) is OK. Tried new installation: Hardy-Installat
Tried different BIOS-Settings without success. Maybe this is a similar error to https:/
dmesg after inserting Video-DVD in running Hardy (dmesg-messages after interrupted installation are similar):

Do you have all the DVD packages installed from medibuntu? (see https:/ /help.ubuntu. com/community/ Medibuntu )
Does this affect all DVDs, or just DVD video? If it affects all DVDs, does it also affect CD-ROMs?
