Bug Description
Binary package hint: software-center
In Software Center users are not actually working with files, they are managing their software collection so I think that "File" menu should be renamed to "Software" menu.
Additionaly, in the File menu user has options to Install or Remove software. File->Install sounds confusing but Software->Install makes more sense to me.

Thanks for the report. However, it's invalid because it's based on a misunderstanding.
The File menu in applications is not, and never was, merely about "working with files". If it had been, then right from the beginning, the first menu in word processors would have been "Document", the first menu in spreadsheet programs would have been "Spreadsheet", the first menu in drawing programs would have been "Drawing", and so on. This wouldn't achieve anything, except making the menu harder to recognize at a glance, and harder to use with the keyboard.
"File" is a verb, just like "Edit", "View", "Format", "Insert", and so on are. It's about filing and organizing whatever primary object the program deals with. In the case of an e-mail program, it's e-mail messages and folders. In the case of an image editor, it's an image. In the case of Ubuntu Software Center, it's software.
