Accents are miscorrectly displayed

Accents are miscorrectly displayed.
It happens on translations and when browsing folders/files lists.

An example:

"Généralités.doc" instead of "Généralités.doc"

(running time drive on Karmic with fr_FR.UTF-8)

Thx for the input, I have check in the fr;po file and noticed:

msgid "Secret Key"
msgstr "Clef secrète"

that it's there probably where the issue is.

On this file it is show ok: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~time-drive-devel/time-drive/trunk/annotate/head%3A/po/fr.po

and on my pc I got the same issue and since I make the package this could be an issue, I'm going to check on a different machine tonight. Hopefully that will give me some answers.

Hi, I think I figured it out what could be the issue.... I used a putty session and used a different encoding. I'm rebuilding it now in the unstable ppa, I hope you would like to test it.

One the test package is the unstable version and it's includes new features so It might brake

I'm using latest version from stable PPA.
I'll test tonight unstable version in a dedicated VM and warn you if anything is wrong.

I have seen you have done a lot of translations those will only be included in the upcoming 0.4 version of time-drive, available from the ppa.

we can't copy the locales to 0.3 since they aren't backwards compatible, a lot of the text has changed.

Issue with encoding in terminal

Hi,
I have the same problem with a Polish translation: all Polish national characters are not properly displayed (result is very similar to png picture attached on 2009-11-05).
The problem is visible in Gnome and KDE.
I'm using Timedrive version: 0.4-2karmic1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Linux cave 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:27:30 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux".
I've checked the time-drive.mo file (/usr/share/locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/) and all Polish national chars are displayed (in kedit, but also cat command in konsole) correctly.
Any ideas to solve?

If I should report my bug separatly from this one, pls post a short comment.
