Bug Description

1) Open video
2) Play it, finish watching it
3) Hit play again
4) No audio, just video

1) Open video
2) Finish watching 1, go to next item in playlist
3) Video plays, no audio

Different because https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/453814 uses mplayer as play back-end.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

Sincerely, sending me to gnome.org's bug tracking (creating a login, trying to understand wtf is going on) is as helpful as sending me to the moon to fetch cheese.

I've done my part then - marked the bug at my distribution that seems to put friendly media playback as a low priority.

"Hey mom, let me put Ubuntu on your pc"
"Thanks son"
"Hey, why is there no sound on the movie? The first part worked ok but the next part doesn't have sound?"
"Oh thats easy, mom. Just open and close it again".

added the ppa, installed all the fixed gstreamer packages: all works well here. Seems fixed to me.
