it will pop up several of the apport "python has crashed" messages.
in one case, i got 20 and it crashed my dock, which is AWN

Yes. I got the same popup-message, only once though. I didn't experience any problems because of this. It just happened out of the blue when I was opening Synaptic. This did not seem to cause any other problems, just the popup.
