gnome wave cleaner crashes with message wrong permissions or uknown file type when loading wav file generated by audacity

gnome wave cleaner runs on clicking the menu icon but crashes when I attempt to load any wav file.

I suspect my bug report actually does not involve python (I'm a lowly user not a programmer) since I was able to repeat the same
gnome wave cleaner crash but not the python 2.5 crash. Sorry to waste your time. Gary
