Inviting a New External User Is Throwing a Server Error

There is an issue going on with the external user invitation process. After filling out the account creation form you get the following server error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected internal server error

(generated by waitress)

The user gets created, but they can't login with the password that they set. And obviously the error is confusing and has generated some support tickets. Can you investigate?

It's weird because I don't see any exceptions in Nagios/Sentry.

The session restriction machinery was trying to get the parent of the invitation object, which does not have a parent. Since the error happened in a Pyramid subscriber, after the view was handled, the system log is not updated.

I made the session restriction code a bit safer, which fixed the problem.

Hi,
now that I've done multiple deployments, I confirmed that osideploy build gets into an infinite loop whenever there's a new zc.buildout release. Want me to take a look at that problem?
