Bug Description
On the forums and on IRC, there are too many questions with regards to Python applets and their dependencies. Due to the way that the autotools work, it's not feasible to use ./configure to detect all of the Python modules (some need X running, etc). Python applet developers need to be able to notify the user (not through the console) that some (or all) of its dependencies are not installed, and directions for how to install it.
