$ ps ax | grep update-notifier
5627 ? S 0:00 update-notifier
14750 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep update-notifier

$ killall update-notifier; update-notifier

The second command doesn't print anything, but doesn't give me the prompt back either, is that the right behaviour?
