Comment 1 for bug 1309566

I also do not get any notifications or indications about new mail, but in my case it appears in the messaging menu. I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 as well.

Started on the terminal it shows the following output repeatedly:

Unity-Mail: INFO: Connection #0 established
Unity-Mail: ERROR: Error in connection #0: exception occured: command: SEARCH => got more than 10000 bytes
