I can confirm this with the latest 575 and Ubuntu 12.04. I've downloaded the desktop version, 64-bit. But states when put inside a regular machine that it's missing an operating system. Done via Mac OS X Lion.
Maybe you should provide an "app" that doesn't do what it should do? I've had this problem for a while.
