I also had this problem on a win 7 ultimate 64bit machine. I killed the ubuntuoneclient.exe process, deleted the .ubuntuone-sync hidden folder in the Ubuntu One folder, restarted the client and forced a sync. After this it seems ok.

I did not have to run as administrator, I didnt think to check the permissions on the .ubuntuone-sync folder before i deleted it. Perhaps it is the context that the client is running in straight after install that is causing the issue.
