I've seen similar behavior in my testing. I believe it may be a similar cause. In my case my DGL-2500 router has relatively frequent need of resetting due to a firmware bug that will (hopefully) be corrected soon. In my case the router eventually enters a state where it is not responsive to DNS requests, and existing connections slow to a crawl. I then need to do a hardware reset.
On retrospect I believe my encountering of these errors may well be related to the somewhat intermittent network connection. Similar problems have turned up for people regarding hibernate/sleep and recovery.
