I will change to only add the extra margin when unity is running, but if you switch between sessions, you can get icons on the desktop that moves from the extreme right to the left because of the icon desktop area is different between them.
The current margin is a little bit too much (I just added the offset of the unity panel), I will just set it to a lower value as well.
