Is your ppa still active? I tried to add it to another computer today and I get this message:
W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net lucid Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A24F227D9E070782
When I added the ppa, it said the key was not found. I tried to do it manually (edit the source.list.d file then add the key) and got the same result.

I had this same trouble in Jaunty. At my job we get sent these pdf documents that don't seem to work in evince. They work fine with adobe acrobat reader. Attached is an example with all of the confidential information removed.
