i've a asus eee 1000h and ubuntu 8.10 and the video render was poor too (with glxgears i got 560 fps +-, but if i move the windows the image will stay at the same place) and on youtube the videos played very bad...
i've installed the interpride debs from https://edge.launchpad.net/~intel-gfx-testing/+archive/ppa wich upgraded my xorg to 2.5, now I only get 100 fps, but on youtube videos play real good, and the glxgears stop doing that move windows problem that stayed a fixed image of the gears on the previouse position, so is the reading of the fps bad?!
