The Xorg.log also the same as me (the stack trace bit)? The system has been solid for me in the mean time.

I am running happily on (relevant bits fro uname -a):

3.2.0-27-generic #43-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 6 14:25:57 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

BTW: the /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state always says "no error state collected" on my laptop.
