Hi Radek!

It's not a notebook, but a desktop. This bug report is not about X.Org crashing, but about a flickering screen on DVI/LVDS-connected displays. If your X server does no longer work after moving to jaunty, it is probably because you still have the fglrx driver configured (which no longer supports RS690 since driver version 9.4). Switching from fglrx to radeon/radeonhd should be documented on the Ubuntu forums or the wiki.
