My old Radeon 9800 Pro had a partial memory meltdown recently so I replaced it with an X850 AGP card. My system will now only boot up in 648 x 480 mode and when I check the Xorg log, it says that all of the video modes are invalid due to hsync being out of range.

I tried the Dapper livecd ( both and64 and i386 ) and they just lock up completely when loading X.
