I hate to triple-post like this, but given the 3 duplicate bugs and the number of users who have reported a me too, I feel compelled to request that someone from ubuntu-qa please mark this bug as Importance High because (per the Bug Importance Guidelines): "A problem with an essential hardware component (disk controller, laptop built-in wireless, video card, keyboard, mouse)" as well as a "severe impact" on users (probably not even a small proportion, so might be critical).
