Hello,

I have the same problem... blank screen after upgrade to gutsy. I seem to have a newer ati card, though (ATI Technologies Inc M52 [Mobility Radeon X1300] ).
Adding the LVDSBios... option didn't help. Using the package linked by Timo didn't help. Every time, the log for x server shows a crash, in the fglrx driver. What can I do? :)
Brownout, how did you downgrade? Where can I find a deb with an older driver? And anyway, are the old driver compatible to the version of X used in Gutsy?
