i also got now a moving mouse freeze with compiz disabled. i just had firefox, thunderbird and totem playing an OGG file with the GOOM visual effects.

so it means that compiz makes the freeze appear much faster, but it's there also without compiz. so this bug happens also in the default configuration of gutsy, even if compiz is disabled by the graphics card detector of gutsy.
