I have installed Ubuntu Karmic Koala on two computer systems. I love it. BUT, I cannot get any sound out of it. I have toyed with every sound setting I can find on both machines and I get nothing. I really want this to work. My output devices show as "dummy stereo" just like this person. Please show me how to correct this problem. Please let it be simple without having to jump through hoops and downloading all kinds of crazy software. I am not so sure I can find my way back to this forum.
