Yes the edgy install does not blank out. Whether that is based on i810
driver or other xorg changes i.e. xresprobe, I don't know. A backport
of the edgy xorg to dapper would be a good thing for i810 users. Sorry I
took so long to reply, I was away for a couple weeks. :)
