That might not be the same bug. I did get a loading screen but black after that. Do you get the same kind of errors in the gdm and xorg logs?

I tried to fix the problem by deleting all leftover Nvidia things I could find, but no luck. I ended up doing a clean install after taking a final back up.
Now it works as it should. Thanks for all your help Tormod!
