Christopher,

I will see if I can try the daily, but you should know that:
a. I have found similar threads, i.e.
http://askubuntu.com/questions/504124/chrome-crashing-too-often-in-ubuntu-14-04
b. The suggested workaround (running chrome with: google-chrome
--disable-gpu) is a valid workaround I have been using for several days now
