After this mornings (21 Feb) updates, I found that the left launcher will not reveal when it is set to autohide ON thru the Settings->Appearance->Behavior application. This was working fine before the update.

Looking at the gnome-control-center changelog I found this entry that I think might be at fault:

gnome-control-center (1:3.3.5-0ubuntu4) precise; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/04_new_appearance_settings.patch:
    - remove the "launcher reveal option" as unsure that the unity side
      will be ready on time.
