Comment 71 for bug 614993

I am having the same problem trying to upgrade. Tried removing the xserver-xorg-video-nouveau package as people were suggesting and this did not help me! I had a completely up to date system, and even when in unchecked all my third party package sources in my package sources before attempting this time.

This bug is not fixed. For now I am stuck.
