I just realized - there's probably no point in installing Jaunty to more HDD's from the same CD that didn't produce wvdial in the first place, is there?

I had Mint Gloria running on the test PC. Downloaded the Gloria .iso 3 or 4 days ago. It's based on Jaunty, correct? Here's the output:

The PC wasn't connected to the internet (*$&#@!! dial-up) so I didn't bother going any further.

I also had Qimo (a kid's desktop based on Xubuntu) installed to another spare HDD, so swapped drives and fired up Qimo, then logged out of the kid's desktop and into the "adult" Xubuntu desktop. The wvdialconf command worked fine. wvdial leapt into action, looking for a modem.
