Sorry, am a bit late back on this - I didn't get notified of all the updates ?? Is there an RSS feed or something I can subscribe to ?
There is no debconf file in /var/crash anymore. System is working normally now apart from disappearing network (bug 155603) and even had a tool around in kde4b3 :)
