I decided to begin testing unity as it stands and installed it on top of my standard Maverick installation.
The first major problem I have hit is that many windows, menus and other aspects of the screen are drawn with a horizontal slant that makes them unusable.

The first major problem I have hit is that many windows, menus and other aspects of the screen are drawn with a horizontal slant that makes them unusable.

The interface is also extremely slow in all applications and a quick "top" shows that mutter is consistently using 25% of the CPU.
