Comment 21 for bug 129029

I'm hoping the desktop team will give this a high priority, because although it is only an aural cosmetic touch, I think the Ubuntu brand recognition is very much tied to the distinctive login sounds.

Unless The Gnome developers upstream deal with it quickly, there are 2 options:

1) revert to gnome-session 2.1.18
2) undo the changes to gsm-sound.c
