I had the same problem! Then I just started the launchpad in the terminal with:
ubuntuone-control-panel-qt
and it works just fine till now.
I know it does not solve the bug itself, but this is the first forum post you'll find googling the bug, so I think it will be nice to find a way to avoid it.
