Jarlath, reviewing your logs in greater detail I believe I know the problem you are having. To fix the issue could you please try the following.
1. Quit Ubuntu One (right-click the applet and select Quit)
2. Open Applications > Accessories > Terminal and run the following to quit the syncdaemon: u1sdtool -q
3. Now run the following in the Terminal: rm -rf ~/.local/share/ubuntuone/syncdaemon/trash/N
4. Now start Ubuntu One as normal (Applications > Internet > Ubunntu One). Put a file in your Ubuntu One folder to test the sync.
