Bug Description

Week 32: Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal (Intel) with ppa:unity-team/staging

Issue: The file menu dropdown list shows the first few options as diabled but clicking on any of the disbled looking options works. For Example - The 1st five options are shown as disabled, clicking on Open option opens the "Open Image" window to choose the image to open.
See screenshot.

Action:
Start with a clear screen. Open GIMP, click on global menu -> File

Additional Information :- This behaviour is not consistent and might be happening because of the launcher having problems in recognizing active open applications and so on. On this build launcher fails to draw arrows properly, fails to place icons for open applications on launcher etc. Seperate bugs have been reported for the launcher problem.
