Menus background color changed, and some words have disappeared

The background color of the menus have changed to grey and the Messaging Menu shows no words in it. (as shown in image)

The same affected me but I just switched themes to anything besides the ambience theme and it worked fine for a quick workaround.

Switching themes act as a temporary solution but it doesn't make the Messaging menu show the text.
