When in the manual partitioner, I right-clicked on a swap partition that I didn't want to use, selected "don't use", and in return I got a rather unexpected and scary little dialog, that seemed related to resizing partitions, not quite what I expected to see !
Luckily, pressing the "Go Back" button, got me out of trouble, and the "swap" tag disappeared from the "type" column, indicating that it eventually did what I asked it to do.
So it's harmless if you are careful, but scary nonetheless the first time you see it ! ;o)
