Hello.

I can confirm that I were installing from the livecd version 6.10.

I am however confused concerning partitions... all the other disks were disconnected during my install attempt.

Strange.

Thomas, there seem to be a lot of errors about detecting disk partitions and partition types. Can you describe your system, please? What is the disk layout (number of partitions, type), are there existing operating systems (Windows, Ubuntu) and were you keeping any, etc.... Please also confirm that you were installing from the Edgy (Ubuntu 6.10) LiveCD.
