Hi,
The following link contains a minimum hardware spec, can you explain the need for 2.5GB for "/"? http://ftp.ubuntulinux.org/ubuntu/dists/warty/main/installer-i386/current/doc/manual/en/ch03s04.html
Rgds,
Stuart.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 48355 ***
Thanks for reporting this. According to /var/log/partman you have 2 ext2 partitions:
/dev/hda1 320753664 -> roughly 305MB /dev/hda6 148022784 -> roughly 141MB
Both of these are too small to hold an Ubuntu installation (you need at least 2.5GB for '/' ).
In any case, the fact that the installer does not warn that the installation will fit is also bug 48355.
** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 48355 partitioner should warn about too small disk while autopartitioning (some_device)
