ubiquity hangs at 80% means when configuring apt not when partitioning. and also if you disconnect from the internet during installation it won't hang or stuck at 80%. i think the ubuntu servers are so busy now a days due to recent release of karmic and when it stucks at 80% its scanning the mirror i guess
