So what can a user do who dual-boots with Windows, and thus full-disk
encryption is not feasible? Me, I personally only want my Ubuntu home
dir to be encrypted...
Title:
Ubuntu ubiquity doesn't have option to encrypt home holder
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
In Ubuntu 16.04 there was an option to encrypt the home partition,
that would present itself at the enter user name and password stage of
the install process. However this option doesn't seem to be in the
current version of Ubuntu 18.04. Instead there is just an option for
whole disk encryption.
I encrypted just the partition, then auto mounted it at log on.
