I applied orange2k's fix (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/150930/comments/56), and it just works now. Thank you, orange2k.

I still have a problem when shutting down/restarting: KDE shows black screen before the Kubuntu shutdown-splash is correctly shown; do you know if it is related or a new bug?

Can anyone confirm the comment from Harvey Muller (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/150930/comments/57). I wouldn't reinstall my system without a good reason, even though it still is quite clean :-)
