That makes perfect sense. I mean...it should do the right thing, but I understand why it doesn't already.

The experience I'm having, and I'm guessing it's the same as the original poster is that immediately after indexing I have this problem. I'm at a point where I've done no deletion, nor any moving, or anything that would mess with tracker's indexing...yet, nearly all of my files don't show up when the category is chosen on the left in the search tool.
